Nutgrove, Indiana

Nutgrove is a small town in Teller County, Indiana, with a pre-Event population of 1,270. Founded in 1849 as Walnut Grove, the name was shorted in local usage and officially changed in 1949 for the town’s centennial celebration. It’s primary claim to fame is as the home of the largest pig in Indiana State Fair history (1974).
